Your music on the Rock Band 2 gaming platform
Harmonix, who make the video game phenomenon Rock Band, have announced the creation of the Rock Band Network (RBN), which will give independent musicians the ability to add their songs to the Rock Band catalogue through the Xbox Live Marketplace.
This is an amazing opportunity to expose your music to a new audience, and have a deeper connection with your current fans.

What you need to know
How does my music get on RBN?
Intricate Audio takes your recording and creates a Rock Band version of the song. We then submit it for a peer review process, after which your song will be ready for publication.
How much does it cost me?
We charge a $100 production fee for charting the song, plus 5% gross revenue distribution fee for bookkeeping and maintence of your music.
What is included?
A complete playable Rock Band production including charts for guitar, bass, vocals and drums on easy, medium, hard and expert levels. This also includes lip synching, camera cuts, lighting cues, and post-production video effects.
How do I make money from my music?
Harmonix has proposed that bands can charge approximately $1, $2, or $3 per song. That money is then split up like this: Harmonix - 70%, You - 25%, Me - 5% . Harmonix will pay out on a quarterly basis, and so will you.
What do you need from me to get started?
You must provide us with stems, or separate audio files tracks or instrument groups. Specifically, we need separate WAV files for guitar, bass, vocals, drums and other backing tracks. If you don't already have these files, you will need to contact the studio who recorded your song. If you have a Pro Tools session and would like me to separate it out for you, that also can be arranged.
